** Submission of Photographs (additional information)

This form will presently ONLY work with a photo attachment.  This will be rectified in due course.

Preferred Size of Photo

  • Photos should ideally be 72dpi and preferably 500 pixels wide. If you don't understand this, don't worry, continue reading below.

Re-sizing Your Photo - Basic Help

  • The way to resize your photo depends on the software installed on your computer.
  • You are looking for an edit facility within your programs called MODIFY, ADJUST, RESIZE or something similar.
  • Once you've found the above, the quickest way to resize your photo is to adjust the dpi to 72.
  • You should notice (having done the above) that the entire size has reduced as well as the dpi.
  • This is normally enough to make the photo a reasonable size to email. But if not then adjust the dimensions to 500 pixels wide and save as .jpg
  • I'm sorry I can't give you any more detailed instructions but this should set you on the right path.

Maximum File Size

  • The server will not accept files larger than 1Mb.

HELP - SUBMITTING YOUR PHOTO WITH YOUR ADVERT

  • When you browse your files to attach your photo, as you "roll and stop" your cursor over the file you want to submit, the file size should display in a small pop-up box.  If it is over 1MB, it is TOO big.
  • If you find your photo won't submit with your form and you don't know how to make it smaller, please submit your advert by filling out the downloadable form and emailing it along with your photo to advertising@britishconnemaras.co.uk .

Copyright Permission

  • Please ensure you have got permission from a professional photographer as necessary BEFORE you scan a photograph.  (Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988)
