Janet with her husband Peter
Janet as you all know sadly was taken from us all far too soon. She was the owner of the Tatham Stud and also a member of the British Connemara Pony Society and a Filly inspector. Janet also ran the Northern Connemara Show.
Over the years she built up her business Just Saddles and changed the way of saddle fitting in the North West of England and surrounding areas.
Her fountain of knowledge and her keeness to make sure that the horse and rider were working together with the saddle etc was a breath of fresh air to many of us. Janet could change the way of going in the horse and rider by simply knowing what saddle was best. She craved a challenge on a tricky to fit horse (I have a few) and her words were "we will sort it, when we have a game plan", and she always did.
Janet lived her life to the max and was like a whirlwind, if you could keep up with her ever changing conversations you could learn so much from her.
She was never miserable and never let things get her down. Janet would also help anyone out in need with her kind caring nature and was a great laugh too.
Janet and her husband Peter loved to travel and she was the happiest when with him.
Janet crammed so much into her short life and was taken away too soon. We have lost an amazing friend, colleague and saddle fitter.
There will never be another like Janet she was certainly one of a kind. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her husband Peter and her children Jade and Jak and sister, Deb.
There is so much more I could write about my special friend, but I would be here forever.
I will never ever forget you Janet, my loveable, funny, buzzy friend.
