Just to jog everyone’s memory, our Connemara Education Day – Super Saturday – is due to take place on Saturday 17th September at Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell CV35 9BP. It should be a most interesting day and, we hope, highly informative.
The three clinics that we are holding in the morning require support so that we can cater for numbers. They are –
In hand Clinic with Jack Cochrane during which he will attempt to show people how to present their ponies in front of a judge and what the judges look for.
Ridden Clinic with Mathew Lawrence, as most of you know he is a top class instructor who understands the Connemara pony and has won numerous ridden classes at major shows.
Workers Clinic with Jo Callwood who is another experienced instructor and will have the use of a selection of fences in the outdoor school at the college.
Application forms are available from Amie Ftizsimons – email@example.com. Please fill in your application form and return it to Amie as soon as possible.
Following on from the clinics, we are holding three seminars in the afternoon which will be taken by prominent representatives in each category –
Stallion AI services, past present and future by Tullis Matson of Stallion AI Services Ltd based at Twemlows Hall Stud Farm.
Equine Nutrition by Anna Welsh, Director of Veterinary Nutrition at Top Spec
HWSD by Sarah Blott, Associate Professor in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Nottingham
Alongside the clinics and the seminars, we are currently running a Silent Auction in aid of the BCPS. There are already a number of outstanding lots promised, a list will shortly be available on the website and Facebook.
Also on the day there will be a competition for Young Judges organised by Jackie Webb.
Farriers Fayre will be on hand all day to provide refreshments.
