Wales and Borders Connemaras, Monmouth Show 1st July 2017

WRITE UP BY CLAIRE BEVAN:-

Another beautiful day at Monmouthshire Show again this year, with big classes full of high quality Connemaras.

Firstly can I say congratulations to everyone who entered. There were lots of beautiful ponies that represented the true characteristics of the breed.

Winner of the HOYS MPS/Baileys Horse Feeds Mountain and Moorland Connemara and winner of the Wales and Borders “Best of Breed” rosette was Miss Eiry Bonner, from Aberyswyth, riding the dun Connemara stallion Fear An Ti bred by Mr M Molloy. Eiry and Fear An Ti went on to be champions, well done Eiry and Patreek!

Winner of the Wales and Borders “Best Opposite Sex” rosette was Rosmeen Double Star bred by the Fitzsimons family and ridden by Amie Fitzsimons. Well done Amie and Double Star!
