• Have you ever considered leaving some money to the British Connemara Pony Society in your will?
  • If you have already made a will, but would like to leave a gift to the BCPS you can do so by making a simple addition. It is called a codicil.
  • A gift to a registered charity is always free from inheritance tax so a legacy to a charity such as the BCPS would effectively reduce any inheritance tax you have to pay. It may be useful to use the following suggested wording.

I give to The British Connemara Pony Society, Registered Charity No. 262765 of 2, East Green, Bowsden, Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland TD15 2TJ  the sum of £…………(enter the sum you wish to leave) free of duty for its charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of Secretary or any other proper officer of the said Society shall be a full and sufficient discharge to the Trustees of my Will”.
