I have recently had my pony put down. Do I need to inform the BCPS

Yes, when animal dies, the passport must be returned to the BCPS office to be cancelled. This is a legal requirement as the BCPS is a Passport Issuing Organisation. If you would like the passport returned to you once it has been cancelled, please enclose a SAE.

My pony's colour on NED is incorrect, they tell me that any change must be made by the BCPS. How can I do this?

The procedure for changing the colour should be that your vet amends the colour in the passport. You must then send a photocopy of the passport to the BCPS Secretary, the BCPS database will be corrected which will then automatically upate the National Equine Database (NED) at the following monthly update

My mare has just had a lovely foal. How can I put the news and a photo on Foaling News?

You should send the news, with details of the foal's sire and dam of course, and a photograph to The Web Contact. The photograph should be in jpeg format please. There is no charge for putting Foaling News on the web site but it is stressed that this is not a sales page.

What is the date of Clifden Show .

Clifden Show is normally held on the third Thursday in August each year. However, due to the Olympic Games the date for Clifden Show Week 2012 is 6 - 12 August.
